Heaven and Hell Near Death Experience

An intriguing thought is the different experiences that people have had during a near death experience where one person encounters heaven and the other sees a glimpse of hell. Religion and theology tells us of the existence of heaven, limbo, purgatory, and hell that a person could expect based on how you live your life. What is a very interesting point about some well known near death reports is how the actual experience of near death turned the persons life around from that of a Godless one to a life knowing that God loves them.

How do you explain in a logical manner how someone can go from being an atheist one day, has an accident or incident where that person has a near death experience, and from that day on believes in God or a higher power? Something very intense, emotional, and life changing happened to that person that was by all accounts clinically dead.

Can the experience of what some call heaven or hell during a near death experience change a persons life?

Near Death Experience

When it comes to experts on Near Death Experience there is only one criteria or qualifying degree to be an expert and that is to of had an actual Near Death Experience (NDE). In an NDE the person is clinically dead or honestly believes themselves to have been actually dead for a brief amount of time. It is in this brief period of time that the stories of near death are born. Some people call this widespread phenomenon a simple chemical reaction as parts of the brain are starved of oxygen and are shutting down. People that have lived through the experience call it a life changing event.

It would be fairly easy to brush NDE’s off as hogwash but how can so many people have the same or similar experience? Rising up out of their body, viewing from above, a sense of calm, no feeling of pain or suffering, meeting or sensing a higher being, and a need to express their experience.

Some people would like to lay claim that having a Near Death Experience is the result of years of religious brainwashing and yet there are people from all walks of life, religion, and non religious atheist that have had a NDE.

If you find yourself intrigued by this topic then we have some interesting links to authors from all walks of life that have written some great books on the subject of Near Death Experience.
